Just Saying Hello card

Hello everyone! Just popping in to share a card to say hello – sometimes we just want to send someone a card just to say hello!

Just saying hello card

First, I stamped and heat embossed the floral image from Majestic Bloom stamp set and the leaves from Crown Bloom stamp set with clear embossing powder. Then I used my Arteza brush pens for coloring the images.

Then I embossed a white cardstock (3.75″ x 4.5″ ) to have a textured background and diecut the panel to have a stitched border. Then I adhered the panel to a grey A2 card. I then arranged my floral arrangement on the card and added some silver thread behind the florals for some interest.

I finished the card with some sequins. I created this card with the colors inspired from Altenew February Inspiration Challenge.

I added the sentiment “Just saying Hello” from Painted Butterflies stamp set. I stamped it on the same grey cardstock and heat embossed in white.

Here is my card:

XOXO (all occasion) card for Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #99

I think it can be an all occasion card.  It is really quick and easy because I just took everything from my scrap stash. I probably spend the most time trying to tie that ribbon to the way I like it lol

Thank you card

Hello everyone! Today I have a simple card to share with you. It’s inspired by a card sketch up on Sketch N Scrap for our 5th birthday bash crop  is that is still going on over at Facebook.

May 23rd birthday 4

Here is my card:

Thank you card

I thought it would be fun to hand stitch the edge of the banner so I just poke holes with a paper piercer and use a peach embroidery floss  that matched my patterned paper. Then I diecut the sentiment using a similar peach textured cardstock as well. It was really quick and easy to make actually.

Thank you card

Thank You cards on Sketch N Scrap

Hello! It’s Friday card share with Sketch N Scrap again! It’s the last card sketch for the month and I had a lot of fun making cards this month!

My cards are inspired by this card sketch in the archive created by Lisa on Sketch N Scrap:

wcmd-4-oct-28th

My card:

Thank you card using Shimelle True Stories

I used all the papers from Shimelle True Stories. I fussy cut out the coffee cup from the patterned paper and also the lid. I pop up the lid with foam tape for the extra dimension. I also punched out little hearts from other scraps from the same paper pad and embellished the card. I stamped “thanks” sentiment and pop it up as well on the coffee cup.

I found the card design so cute, and I made cards in smaller versions and thought it would be perfect for the gift cards to coffee/tea places.

Thank you cards for gift cards

It is really simple to make and fun.  Hop over to Sketch N Scrap and check out the design team members’ inspiration! Hope you will try out and create with our sketches. We would love to see your creations! Thanks for stopping by and Happy crafting!

Birthday Card with Sketch N Scrap

Hello! It’s another card share today on Sketch N Scrap! We are celebrating every Friday of the month with cards in honour World Card Making Day.  I created a simple birthday card using some scrap patterned paper. It really is my aim to make cards using scraps, mainly because I love the papers too much to throw away even the most little tiny pieces.

I was inspired by this sketch designed by Mandy on the blog:

wcmd-2-oct-14-2016

My card:

I have a paint splatters stamp (Recollections from Michaels) which is perfect for the card inspiration. I just stamped it with the color (Hero Arts Soft Cantaloupe) which matched my patterned papers and cut out  some squares with my papers. Then I added a sentiment in the middle square to highlight my sentiment. Then I cut out the little cameras and pop it up with some foam tape to embellish the card. A really quick and simple card to make.

I seemed to need birthday cards more than any other cards yet I do not make enough of it. So hopefully I can remember to make more of it lol

We are highlighting Susan Renshaw (past DT member of Sketch N Scrap) on the blog today, so hop over and check out her card design as well as other great inspiration from the design team. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

A really quick and easy card and super fun birthday card that is suitable for everyone. Hop over to Sketch N Scrap and check out more inspiration from the design team. Hope you will join us and play along with our sketches. We would love to see your creations.

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #82

Hello! I want to share a card I created for today’s card sketch on the Sketch N Scrap blog. It’s a very cute and versatile sketch- it can be used for all occasions.

This sketch was designed by Lisa on Sketch N Scrap:

sketch-82-sns-sept-20th

I created an encouragement/thinking of you card using patterned papers from Dear Lizzy and Crate paper and  Tim Holtz stickers for the sentiment.

Encouragement hello card

I just fussy cut the flowers and added silver thread behind the flowers to add some texture. I did use foam tape to raise the sentiment a little bit more so that the sentiment can be more obvious.

Hop over to Sketch N Scrap for more design team inspiration and hope you join us in playing with our sketches!

Counterfeit Kit Challenge Members Blog Hop

Hello everyone! It’s time for August Counterfeit Kit Challenge (CKC) Members Blog Hop. You must have arrived from Leslie’s blog!

Every month they have challenges to inspire you to create your projects. The challenges this month are:

For today’s post, I want to share the layouts and cards I created with my August kit. I created a coordinating page about my puppy which I previously created (you can check it out here) with my forgery paper. I found another photo of him taken on the same day which is clearer actually.

Today was fun Scrapbook layout

I used versamark ink with the same plus sign stencil I used on my previous layout. I just wanted the subtle marks on the background of the cardstock. I added some alphabet stickers and some diecuts I cut out with my Cameo. I also used some numbers thickers to document the date of the photos were taken.

I just love using my border punches. Love the look and I figured I must use it more on my layouts to get my investment worth 😉

I made some cards too with my kit. IMG_1186

The patterned paper was one the top corner of a 12×12 which I found it hard to use on a layout, so I just trim it down and put it on a card front and stamped a sentiment on it.

The next card, I used the leftover forgery paper I made and made a card with it. I layered some papers and added my stamped sentiment.

Then I also used some bits of paper and a cut apart card from my never ending scrap pile and leftover bits of one patterned paper from the kit as mats to create a simple layout inspired by Challenge #3 – Sounds Foreign to Me.

Delighted Challenge #3 CKC Scrapbook LayoutDelighted Challenge #3 CKC Scrapbook LayoutDelighted Challenge #3 CKC Scrapbook Layout

I scrapbook a photo of a B&B place I stayed in when I was visiting Montreal. I am not even sure how to pronounce it.  It was such a lovely place. I included a brochure of the place too since it had all the information and pictures in it. I used my sewing machine to add some stitching for some interest.

It has been a small kit this month, so I took some bits and pieces from my scrap pile for the projects.  And it’s great because the aim is to use up the stash build up right 🙂

As you all probably already know, I am the guest designer for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge for August. It’s been really exciting and fun. I can’t thank them enough for the wonderful welcome and support that they have given me. Thanks so much CKC!

“Friends” – Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #80

Hello! Today I have a card to share with you. I used supplies from my August homemade kit and inspired with the sketch on Sketch N Scrap that is designed by Heather.

SNS 20th Aug Card

Here is my bright card with my homemade kit.

Friends card

I was inspired by the pennants on the sketch, but instead of creating the pennants, I added the pom pom trim which is kind of fun and cute. The original diecut had the word Bohemian on it, so I just my trusty old fun Dymo embossing label maker to make the pink tape “Friends” sentiment for my card.

Just a simple card share today! Hop over to Sketch N Scrap for more design team inspiration and we hope you will play along our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and Happy crafting!

“Girls Rock” card – Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #78

Hello! A short post today – I have a fun and colourful card to share. My card was inspired this lovely sketch design by Lisa on Sketch N Scrap:

SNS July 20th

Here is the card I created:

Girls Rock Card

My card is 4.25″x 4.25′ – I decided to make a small square card this time. Since this card meant to be a fun girl card, I thought it would be cuter that way. I took all the patterned paper (scraps mainly from a previous project) from My Mind’s Eye Boy Crazy and My Girl collection. Then I added some hearts for embellishment.

The patterns do seem a little bit busy, but they actually work really well together since they are from the same paper line. It’s really simple to make and I hope you will make one too.

Hop over to Sketch N Scrap for more inspiration and join us with this month’s challenges. We would love to see your creations linked up! Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy crafting!
