Floral Birthday Card

Hello! I created a floral theme scrapbook layout in my last post, using layering stamps and I loved it. So today, I thought I share a floral themed birthday card that I made.

Birthday card using Altenew Painted Flowers and Painted butterflies stamp set

I created the background stripes using distress inks (Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean) I masked off the stripes using washi tape and placed them in different widths for interest. Then I diecut the panel and the frame of patterned paper using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles die.

I stamped the flowers and butterflies from Altenew Painted Flowers and Painted Butterflies. It gives a very artsy look to the card. The butterflies were stamped in Hero Arts Soft Pool and Tide Pool ink and outlined with Altenew Jet Black ink. The flowers were stamped with Altenew Mango Smoothie and Peach Perfect ink and outlined with Altenew Jet Black ink. I colored the leaves with my Prismacolors color pencils. (PC 989 and PC 1005). I stamped a lot of the flowers and three of the butterflies and then fussy cut them out with scissors. I stamped the “Happy Birthday” from Waffleflower lotus stamp set with the same Jet Black ink.

My card was inspired by Altenew April Inspiration Challenge. I just love the color scheme!

Here is a close up – I did add a lot of foam dots to add dimension to the flowers and butterflies.

Cupcake Birthday Card

Hello, I have another fun and simple card to share today. This weekend was a fun card making weekend! I created a birthday card.

Birthday Cupcake Card

I stamped a cupcake and a candle and pieced them together. The I adhered them on a small piece of yellow striped patterned paper.  I used a notebook border punch to create interest on the top of it.  I created layers with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die with grey cardstock and a colorful patterned paper and adhered everything together.

I added some flower sequins on the cupcake for embellishments to resemble cupcake sprinkles for added interest.

I am playing along Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. It’s their Wednesday Challenge blog 8th birthday this week – how fun! Happy birthday!

I created a birthday card –

Birthday card

I used patterned papers from Shimelle True Stories and diecut  a colorful piece with my stitched rectangle die. I trimmed the balloon card from the cut apart sheet and stamped a birthday sentiment on it with Waffle Flower stamp lotus set.

A really quick and easy card and super fun birthday card that is suitable for everyone. Hop over to Sketch N Scrap and check out more inspiration from the design team. Hope you will join us and play along with our sketches. We would love to see your creations.

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #70 – Birthday Card

Hello! I have a birthday card to share today inspired by a sketch designed by Lisa on the Sketch N Scrap blog

This is the sketch:

Sketch N Scrap card sketch #70 march 20

St Patrick’s Day just passed – Hope everyone had fun! I decided to make a birthday card with this sketch.

Birthday Card

The birthday date is March 15 – So I added the date to the diecut balloons using Thickers. I always have a lot of leftover numbers Thickers that I can’t seem to finish using. All the patterned papers are from Pressed Petal collections. It’s an interesting collection- it has all the months of the year and cute patterns matching the events in the months.

I diecut the heart-shaped balloons with DoCrafts X-Cut Balloon Die Set. The sentiment ‘Party’ is an old stamp set from Hampton Art and ‘Top priority’ is from Heidi Swapp. So having a party on a birthday is definitely top priority! lol actually planner stamps can be really nice to make cards too. I used my scallop corner chomper from We r Memory Keepers to round the corners of the card panel.
