Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #86 – CAS card

Hello! I am sharing a short post today,  sharing a simple card inspired by card sketch on Sketch N Scrap.

This is the fun sketch created by Lisa on Sketch N Scrap that is quite versatile for any occasion.

CAS Have fun card

I had the “FUN” banner cut apart from a 12×12 patterned paper in my stash for the longest time and added the “HAVE” alphabet stickers to complete the banner. I decided to use the sticker “worry about the details later” from Shimelle Go Now Go sticker book. Sometimes we should have fun right now without overthinking, right. I thought it would be a fun card to send to a friend.

Scrapbooking with autumn colours

Hello! Today I have some pretty exciting news to share – I had the opportunity to be the guest artist on Shimelle’s blog.

I created a scrapbook layout with the third challenge 03: Scrapbook with autumnal colours.

Here is a sneak close up shots where I actually included real leaves I collected.

It was a really fun page to make and loved how it turned out. To check out the full layout, head over to Shimelle’s blog for more details. Thanks for stopping by and Happy crafting!

‘The Yellow Door’ Scrapbook Layout

Hello! It’s November already. I have a scrapbook layout to share today inspired by a layout sketch. The sketch was designed by Lisa on Sketch  N Scrap.

For my layout, I flipped the sketch and was inspired by the ‘longish title’ for my photo.

"Yellow Door" long title diecut scrapbook layout

It was a photo taken at the ‘yellow door’ at the lavender farm which was a hot spot for photos. On the header, there was a lovely quote “Walk through the door, your worries behind you, your joys are ahead”. So I diecut the quote with my Cameo with different fonts. I backed it with pink striped paper and went over it with a black pen to highlight the title better.

After I layered the photo with patterned papers, I added some yellow paint splatters. I wanted to add some black since I went over the title with the black pen, so I stamped with a splatter stamp with black ink. Then I added a subtitle below the photo with different alphabet stickersand also the big yellow puffy alphabet stickers to emphasize the door. I also added some fun embellishments with adventure/travel theme from Shimelle Go Now Go collection.

I added the acetate pieces with gold staples for more fun.

Thank You cards on Sketch N Scrap

Hello! It’s Friday card share with Sketch N Scrap again! It’s the last card sketch for the month and I had a lot of fun making cards this month!

My cards are inspired by this card sketch in the archive created by Lisa on Sketch N Scrap:

My card:

Thank you card using Shimelle True Stories

I used all the papers from Shimelle True Stories. I fussy cut out the coffee cup from the patterned paper and also the lid. I pop up the lid with foam tape for the extra dimension. I also punched out little hearts from other scraps from the same paper pad and embellished the card. I stamped “thanks” sentiment and pop it up as well on the coffee cup.

I found the card design so cute, and I made cards in smaller versions and thought it would be perfect for the gift cards to coffee/tea places.

Thank you cards for gift cards

It is really simple to make and fun.  Hop over to Sketch N Scrap and check out the design team members’ inspiration! Hope you will try out and create with our sketches. We would love to see your creations! Thanks for stopping by and Happy crafting!

Birthday Card with Sketch N Scrap

Hello! It’s another card share today on Sketch N Scrap! We are celebrating every Friday of the month with cards in honour World Card Making Day.  I created a simple birthday card using some scrap patterned paper. It really is my aim to make cards using scraps, mainly because I love the papers too much to throw away even the most little tiny pieces.

I was inspired by this sketch designed by Mandy on the blog:

My card:

I have a paint splatters stamp (Recollections from Michaels) which is perfect for the card inspiration. I just stamped it with the color (Hero Arts Soft Cantaloupe) which matched my patterned papers and cut out  some squares with my papers. Then I added a sentiment in the middle square to highlight my sentiment. Then I cut out the little cameras and pop it up with some foam tape to embellish the card. A really quick and simple card to make.

I seemed to need birthday cards more than any other cards yet I do not make enough of it. So hopefully I can remember to make more of it lol

We are highlighting Susan Renshaw (past DT member of Sketch N Scrap) on the blog today, so hop over and check out her card design as well as other great inspiration from the design team. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Cut & Paste “Fun” Scrapbook Layout

Hello everyone! February is coming to an end soon- how time flies! At least there is an extra day on 29th Feb!

Today I have a simple layout to share, just cut and paste patterned papers to create the layout.

Fun with friends Scrapbook layout

The layout is inspired by Shimelle Laine as I took her online class not too long ago.  I use mostly the True Stories collection by Shimelle. I fussy-cut the embellishments from the patterned papers. The title also is made with the alphabets patterned paper. I added the ‘Friends’ card from MAMBI 3×4 pocket pages.

Here are some close up:Fun with friends Scrapbook layoutFun with friends Scrapbook layout

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Shimelle True Stories, MAMBI 3×4 pocket cards

A really quick and easy layout because it’s literally just cut & paste! I totally love all the different patterns in the layout!

“Best Sushi” scrapbook layout

Hello everyone! Happy FRIDAY! Weekend is coming up.. wonder what I am doing this weekend?

Anyway, today I have a layout to share. I managed to get my hands on some lovely Shimelle True Stories collection by American Crafts. There were really fun and pretty papers.

"Best Sushi" scrapbook layout

The page design is also inspired/scraplifted from Shimelle. Love this design because it enables me to use many of the pretty papers. I guess one thing great about working with papers from the same collection is no matter how busy the papers are, they definitely match! How awesome is that.

I scrapped photos from a dinner with friends. It was one of my friend’s favorite restaurant. I guess, when one has a favorite, they will always go back and is willing to travel far just to go eat there. He is definitely a “usual” since everyone recognized him and know his orders. I think that’s so cool! I like the food and they had pretty cool decor. Just loved the outside of the restaurant; look at all the wood. Definitely has the character!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting – have a great weekend!
