XOXO Scrapbook Layout for Sketch N Scrap Sketch Layout #127

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a scrapbook layout on Sketch N Scrap. It’s another summer photo from last year. I am trying to finish scrapping my summer photos from last year, so you may see similar photos from the same event when I share my layouts. I don’t always scrap my everyday. I usually scrap photos of places I have been or events.

Today’s layout is inspired by the sketch that Heather designed on Sketch N Scrap.

I liked how the layout turned out. Somehow, the colors I used are very “masculine”  ie browns and greens which is unusual  from my bright colors of pinks and reds and yellows.

For this layout – I did keep to my challenge of using “a tool & a supply”. On my white cardstock, I used the Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer with a brown sharpie and spritzed some ink in the background. I used my Cameo to cut the cutfile (for free). Then I used my favorite punch to punch my hearts. (such an accomplishment I tell you, by using these 3 tools lol) I had the starfish ribbon for like forever, and I thought it would be fun for this layout.

Hope you can see the ink spritz close up pics.

This was a fun layout to make and being able to play with the marker spritzer tool was a lot of fun! You can use lots of different markers with it too. It’s a good alternative if you don’t want a wet spray medium for your layout.

That’s it for today! Hop over to Sketch N Scrap and check out what the other design team members had created! We would love for you to join us for our sketch challenges! News update: It’s will be an exciting month in May as Sketch N Scrap celebrates its FIFTH birthday with lots of sketches, inspiration and prizes and most importantly, lots of FUN!

  1. Great job with the sketch Karen! I love these colors and I never thought of using a sharpie with that tool, I need to dig mine out and play with it on my next layout! Thanks for the inspiration!
