I have a card to share today! I think it is nice to send a card to a friend or a family member to say Hello, and also to say how awesome and beautiful that person is! It would brighten their day, don’t you think?
I started with a watercolor cardstock. For the background, I took a stencil from Martha Stewart’s Arabesque stencils and used it with texture paste. I love how it gives the card dimension. The I used Ripe Persimmon distress ink which is a ‘red/orange/coral-ly’ ink to give it some color. Then I mixed up the ink on some packaging and “smoosh” it onto the cardstock to get the splat effect.
Stamp sets used :- Hero Arts Stamp&Cut ‘Thanks’ and My Mind’s Eye ‘Beautiful’. I stamped the sentiments on two labels and pop it up with foam tape for extra dimension.
I found some coral colored embroidery floss and loops it around and use it as a focal point for the card. I added clusters of sequins for the finishing touches to the card. I then mounted the card onto a grey card base.
Close up pictures of the card.
I actually made this card using a sketch by Winnie&Walter iNSD2015 and I am entering it for the Card Sketch challenge and also for Winnie&Walter iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio:Product Challenge – Sequins
I am also entering this card for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge : Don’t abandon the coral & Wednesday challenge: Let’s get sentimental.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting.
